Handwriting Your Homework/Exams

1. Make a cover page

Please write a cover page in really BIG (64 or 72 point) letters that has on it:

  • your name,
  • your email address (so we know where to return your graded work),
  • whether it is a homework or exam problem,
  • the subject (torts, crimes, etc.), and
  • identity of the question, for example "Feb. 04."

Once we receive your fax, it goes into a directory that the graders have access to. Your incoming cover page will be reduced in size so that it looks like this:

2. Fax your work in

Our fax number is (415) 901-2626. It should be used for your homework and exams (only).

Your homework is due by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, or earlier if possible. (We begin our Saturday exams at 9:00 a.m., so you will not have time to keep working on your homework AND write exams at the same time.)

3. Separate your essays

Please send each homework assignment or exam as a separate fax. If you send use one fax with two or three homeworks all together, two of them won't go to the proper graders. You may not get feedback on those until we are able to sort it out during the next week.

4. If you have ANY questions or problems, please let us know!

If this process seems overwhelming, or if you're not very technical and want help walking you through the process, just let us know. We are here to help you. Our phone number is (415) 864-4122, or send us an chat/instant message.
